Bee Still My BEEating Heart
Bee Still My BEEating Heart
BEE Still My BEEating Heart – A perfect mandala chakra combination! Both the bee and the bleeding heart flower represent love. I have been trying to get the perfect shot of the many bees that frequent my bleeding heart flowers and I finally accomplished that goal! These bees are so large I am surprised the delicate bleeding hearts do not fall of the stem! LOL Bee Meaning and Symbolism – Many cultures honor the bee and it is noted in many ancient cultures and mythologies. My favorite of course is the ancient Greek Goddess of Bees, Melissa. Melissa means honeybee in Greek and she also cared for the infant Zeus. She was turned into a beautiful bee by Zeus. In ancient Egypt bees were a symbol of royalty and supremacy. The Chinese consider designs of a bee sitting on a flower to represent courtship, marriage and love. They also these design to represent a maiden’s purity and fertility due to the bee’s pollination ability. The Chinese culture also considers the bee to represent cheerfulness, fortuity, affluence and harmony. The overall symbolism of bees include: Love, Life, Order, Development, Knowledge, Beauty, Family, Happiness, Mystery, Sweetness, Nurturing, Community, Efficiency and Communication. Bleeding Heart flower symbolism and Chakra meaning: The Heart Chakra is associated with the color green and the bleeding heart flower. If this chakra is unbalanced you demonstrate co-dependency and neediness. You feel deserted and unloved. The bleeding heart flower and the color green relate to love and the ability to give and receive unconditionally. When your heart chakra is balanced, you offer love freely learning to nurture yourself and others. You feel at ease and experience soothing thoughts and feelings. The flower symbolism of the Bleeding Heart is undying love, grace and fidelity. The essence of the bleeding heart flower is said to open up and strengthen the heart chakra, which in turn causes a person to feel emotionally soothed and open to the possibility of a new romance. It is thought to be especially useful after a heartbreak. These blossoms are also frequently used in love spells. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.
